Vaccines Available for Keiki

COVID-19 vaccine is now available for children ages 5-11 at Wilcox Medical Center and Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the Pfizer vaccine for this age group today, Nov. 2, after it received emergency use authorization from the FDA on Oct. 29. The vaccine is now able to be administered to this age group effective immediately

This workshop will strengthen your skills, ability, and confidence around applying for federal USDA funding for agricultural endeavors. Polystyrene Ban

County officials are notifying food providers that effective Jan. 1, 2022, the use and sale of polystyrene foam food containers will be restricted per Ordinance 1079 Article 27, Chapter 22.

USDA Pandemic Response Grant

The Pandemic Response and Safety (PRS) Grant Program provides grants to specialty crop producers and processors, other select producers, meat and other processors, distributors, and farmers markets to respond to coronavirus, including for measures to protect workers against novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID–19). Funds will be used to issue grants for costs incurred between January 27, 2020, the date upon which the public health emergency was declared by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act, and December 31, 2021.

After Aug. 6, landlords will again have the right to evict tenants who have not paid their rent, while also following a new state law which has made significant changes to the landlord-tenant code.
