CTAHR CES ornamental crop extension agents are performing a statewide survey to catalogue orchid diseases across the state. If you are a commercial orchid grower and want to contribute to this body of knowledge, CTAHR is accepting disease samples and have funding to pay for diagnostics fees.
The project to collect and catalogue samples will begin after an initial survey and webinar to assess and report on the current state of the industry. CTHAR is asking industry members to help determine what orchids are being produced, what diseases growers are seeing, and what the current management of those diseases is. Please fill out the following 8-minute survey to give them an idea. The survey needs to be filled out to participate in the free diagnostic sampling.
