URGENT: The Kauai Emergency Management Agency Announces Requests for Residents and Businesses Affected by the April 2024 Flood to Complete Damage Reporting Form

April 16, 2024

To all residents and businesses affected by the recent flooding in our community, your prompt action is crucial. The Kauai Emergency Management Agency is urgently requesting that you complete a damage reporting form. Your input is invaluable in assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the April 2024 flood. By providing accurate and detailed information, you will aid the County in understanding the scope of damage and impacts to our community. Damage reports may be used to determine whether our jurisdiction qualifies for any state or federal assistance. Whether your property sustained minor or major damage, every report matters. If you require assistance with the form, please contact KEMA at (808) 241-1800.

Affected parties still need to file claims with their insurance companies for residential and business damage and personal property losses. Completion of a Damage Report does not constitute an application for assistance or relief programs, however, if you would like KEMA to share your information with non-profit partners if assistance becomes available, please be sure to check the appropriate box as indicated in the form.
