The State of Hawaii’s Rent Relief and Housing Assistance Program provides assistance to renters who have experienced a reduction in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are at risk of eviction. The program provides monthly rental assistance of up to $1500 per month for eligible Kauai households for rental payments from August 1st until December 28th, 2020. If you have already submitted an application through AUW or KGEFCU, it will be processed in the order it was received. To help process your application in a timely manner, we ask applicants and landlords to quickly respond to calls and/or emails requesting information.
