LĪHU’E—Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami’s Emergency Rule 10 is now in effect, following Governor David Ige’s signature of approval on Thursday. In accordance with the Governor’s phased reopening plan, called the “State Roadmap to Recovery and Resilience,” Mayor’s Emergency Rule 10 reopens a number of medium risk businesses and activities.
Public and private pools, churches, outdoor tour activities, salons and barbershops, all cleaning and construction work, and one-on-one personal services such as fitness, tutoring, music lessons and similar activities are allowed to open as of today with certain restrictions.
Businesses must meet various requirements, such as physical distancing, masks and sanitation, pursuant to the Governor’s 8th Supplemental Proclamation and the state Department of Health Safe Practices. Each business can determine the maximum number of individuals to allow for social distancing within its facility.
