The Hawaiʻi Public Utilities Commission has ordered that KIUC’s approved interim rates become effective as of January 11, 2024. Energy usage beginning January 11 will be billed at the new rates. KIUC’s full tariff is available on its website.
The new rates, which will generate an additional 7.95% in revenue for the cooperative, were approved by the PUC in November via an Interim Decision and Order. The interim rates are subject to refund pending the PUC’s final order, which is expected sometime this year.
