Energy Saving Initiatives and Utility Support

June 26, 2020

There are several programs intended to help residents with home energy efficiency as well as support for residents who currently need assistance paying their utility bills.

Home Energy Retrofit Savings Program:  By participating in a home efficiency survey, you can receive up to $150 in energy saving equipment for FREE while funding is available.  To complete the survey, visit https://homeefficiency.com/kauai. If you know someone who could benefit but does not have internet access, you can pick-up a paper application at the Lihue Civic Center, 4444 Rice Street Lihue, in the lobby of the Kapule Building (where the DMV is located) or print this application form and share it with them.

Utility Bill Support: To support residents with paying their current utility bills, many service providers are willing to waive late fees and maintain service for those affected by the pandemic. See the list below for details or contact your service provider directly.
