The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) is updating the Regional Long-Range Land Transportation Plan (Plan) for the Island of Kaua‘i.
The Plan, titled Federal-Aid Highways 2035 Transportation Plans for the District of Kaua‘i, was last updated in 2014. Since then, the island of Kaua‘i has experienced changes in population, development, and travel needs. The Plan will address future land transportation needs for freight, motorists, transit, bicyclists, and pedestrians based on land use and socioeconomic projections through 2045.
