Līhuʻe Airport Optimization Plan Community Meetings
The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) would like to warmly invite you to attend one of our upcoming community meetings in August. During these meetings, the project team will share key planning efforts completed to date, including facility requirements, alternatives under consideration, and the preliminary screening of alternatives. We will also provide a summary of what we heard during the March 2026 engagement process and offer additional opportunities for community members to share their manaʻo.
Attached to this email is a meeting flyer with dates, times, and locations for all four community meetings. We encourage you to save it, share it, and pass it along to your ʻohana, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and others who may have an interest in the future of Līhuʻe Airport. The success of this planning effort depends on hearing from a broad range of voices across Kauaʻi, and we welcome everyone to participate.
