The County of Kaua‘i in collaboration with Kaua‘i Economic Development Board, Kaua’i Filipino Chamber of Commerce, the American Job Center-Kaua‘i, Pacific Missile Range Facility, and State of Hawai‘i – Workforce Development will be holding a job fair on February 2nd from 3pm – 7pm, at Hanapepe United Church of Christ

Kauai Market Opportunity Workshop

GoFarm Hawaii is hosting a free online Kaua’i Market Opportunity Workshop on Monday, January 24. Guest speakers include representatives from Merriman’s Kaua’i, Living Foods Hawaii, and Kaua’i Food Hub. Participants will get to brush up on their outreach methods, learn what the current market is looking for, explore how to better connect with customers. EVICTION DIVERSION MEDIATION PROGRAM

Kauai Economic Opportunity (KEO) offers an Eviction Diversion Mediation program for Kauai residents. Mediation is not a trial. Rather, it is a voluntary, confidential process in which trained neutral mediators help parties discuss, define, and resolve their disputes. In mediation, mediators do not make the decisions for the parties. Instead, they guide the process so parties can reach their own solutions.

Hawaii Group GAP Program Webinar

North Shore Economic Vitality Partnership is hosting a brief webinar session on Friday December 17 at noon to explain what GAP is, how the GroupGAP program is structured and what it requires, and hear from a few speakers who will share their views on the advantages of food safety.

Kaua‘i’s Federal Homeowner Assistance Program

The State of Hawai‘i and the counties of Hawai‘i and Kaua‘i joined
nonprofit community development financial institution, Hawai‘i Community Lending (HCL), to
announce the launch of a new $5-million Homeowner Assistance Fund. The U.S. Congress
established the fund in the Department of the Treasury with the purpose of mitigating financial
hardships associated with the coronavirus pandemic. The fund will provide homeowners with
grants to prevent mortgage delinquencies, defaults and foreclosures

Pediatric vaccines – mobile clinics

COVID-19 vaccine is now available for children ages 5-11 at Wilcox Medical Center and
Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital (KVMH).
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the Pfizer vaccine for this age
group today, Nov. 2, after it received emergency use authorization from the FDA on Oct. 29. The vaccine
is now able to be administered to this age group effective immediately
