The Future of Work 2026 Conference was held this September on Oahu and presented by the Workforce Development Council, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, and AE Consulting. Over 320 business leaders, educators, government officials, and community stakeholders explored actionable, county-focused solutions to creating a resilient workforce and advancing economic opportunity across the islands.
One event highlight was the Workforce Heroes Awards: Presented by Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke and Bennette Misalucha, hosts recognized several Workforce Development Heroes for their exceptional contributions to Hawai’i’s workforce initiatives. It was an honor to celebrate individuals who are making a significant impact on our community’s future. Join us in celebrating Jackie Kaina of the Kauai Economic Development Board as winner and Lawai’a Naihe of Hoakeolapono as honoree from Kauai.
