There are three on-demand, NEC code-related training opportunities currently available statewide through Good Jobs Hawai‘i. These online courses are designed for solar contractors, installers, building officials, engineers, and designers with prior industry experience in PV systems and solar-plus-storage.

🔥 2023 NFPA 855 & Fire Codes for Energy Storage Systems
• 8 hours | $250 tuition (covered for eligible applicants)

• Reviews the fire and building codes (I-Codes: IRC, IFC & IBC), NFPA 1 and NFPA 855 standards, installation requirements, and product safety standards (UL 9540) for energy storage systems (ESS)
